Right angles (Pythagoras Theorem)

Aug 1, 2022
1 min read

In this activity the learners will prove the validity of Pythagoras theorem by measuring the areas of squares constructed on the three sides of a right triangle. They can use existing triangles from the room or they can construct one on paper. They will then construct squares on all the 3 sides. They will divide the 3 squares into small unit squares by selecting some available physical unit, say random strip of paper. They will then sum up the unit squares and verify Pythagoras theorem.

Learning Objective(s)
